Our family has been coming to WaterColor for over 15 years. We chose WaterColor as our forever home in 2020 because we love the unparalleled serene walkability of the community along with the elevated amenities, which are the best on 30A. While we appreciate the economic significance of guests in our community, we do not rent our home and are excited to be full-time early next year.
With my background, I believe I can help elevate the WaterColor experience for homeowners and their guests by managing overcrowding and instituting uniform enforcement of our documented rules. I will also help create a brand narrative that tells the story of the luxury, unity, and authenticity of our great community for generations to come.
After playing football for and graduating from the University of Wisconsin, I spent seven seasons in the NFL. With this, I know a little something about teamwork and believe it is a key element needed to elevate our community.
Teamwork also helped me prosper in my professional career in security for 30+ years serving public and venture-backed firms in executive leadership roles. I have built countless budgets, teams, and executed business plans around the world. With considerable time in board rooms, I believe I can help heighten WaterColor’s Board and best practices by working across all relevant constituencies and listening to the collective passions of neighbors.
Overcrowding has resonated through our conversations for over a decade. Today, whether it's Beach Club, Camp WaterColor, or navigating parking, the challenges remain. We need to develop a multi-year plan that identifies resort usage and expenses while identifying areas for amenity expansion across our community. Homeowners and guests need fewer restrictions and seamless fun.
Our rulebook is meticulously documented to govern life within our WaterColor. It's time for a collective commitment to communicate rules and practice enforcement. Whether it's the intricacies of parking, occupancy protocols, beach access coordination, waste management, or maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, our responsibility is clear: we must address these matters with diligence and consistency with our community partners.
Engaging in personal dialogue or within groups is the lifeblood of any community. While social media may excel at sharing photos or event information, it falls very short of nurturing real connections. It's time to bridge that gap. I want to talk about our community via meaningful and interactive conversations with neighbors and our community constituents.
Let's talk fitness. Conversations surrounding a gym have been buzzing and this brings neighbors together. There is also significant interest in expanding our pickleball court. These both come with some controversy as well and budget considerations, both key to their feasibility and implementation. I eagerly invite homeowners to share their thoughts, as collective input is paramount.
Let's work together with positive and constructive involvement to shape our community’s future. Please view my candidacy video and give me a call anytime. I can be reached at 609-932-1757 or steve.wagner21@gmail.com.
Together, we can identify the causes of key issues, set forth the implementation and enforcement of WaterColor’s robust rules to manage overcrowding, and position WaterColor as the pinnacle of luxury and service for all homeowners and their guests.
In closing, I humbly ask that you cast your vote for me to the WaterColor Board of Directors. Please vote online beginning by September 22, or in-person at the WaterColor Homeowner meeting on October 21. Thank you.
